Synopsis
Yagami Light is tired of his mundane high school life and is anxiously waiting for something exciting to happen. When he stumbles upon a notebook one day at school, Light is given the opportunity to make his life more interesting. The mysterious book gives him the power to cause the death of anyone whose name he writes within it and Light tests his newfound power by eliminating common criminals. Light later learns exactly how powerful the book is as well as its who it belongs to when an equally thrill-seeking shinigami comes to claim it.
