Synopsis: The highly intelligent Light Yagami notices a mysterious notebook lying on the ground one day. When he takes it homes and reads it, he finds the instructions to the “Death Note.” Taking it as a prank he begins to write down a name of a random convict on the news only to realize the person actually dies instantly. Light ecstatic with the book begins to work out a complex and intertwined plot to bring justice to the world under the name Kira. To his luck the owner of the Death Note Ryuk, a shinigami, finds it extremely amusing to watch Light’s use of the Death Note as the mysterious detective known as “L” begins to seek out the true identify of Kira. The question remains, who will win?
