Synopsis
Shinji Ikari travels to Tokyo-3 after being requested by his father that he hasn’t seen in years. When arrive at Tokyo-3 he finds himself in a middle of a battle between the U.N. army and a monster known as the First Angel. In the mist of the battle Lt. Colonel Misato Katsuragi comes to Shinji’s aid to take him to NERV headquarters where he finds out that his father has requested his presence so that he can pilot the weapon that is man’s last chance of survival known as Evangelion Unit-01. With no training Shinji is asked to pilot the Evangelion since their only pilot Rei Ayanami has become incapacitated. Shinji must decide if he wants to pilot the Evangelion and understand just what the Angels are.
