Synopsis
Sakai Yuji's dreams of living his life as a normal high school student are dead-literally. Walking home from school Yuji is swept away into an parallel world where time is frozen and the souls of the living are devoured by the "Crimson Denizens." When Yuji is about to be consumed he is saved by a sword bearing young girl with flame-red eyes and hair known as the Flame Haze. While his body was saved Yuji himself has died years ago and has become a "Torch" who serves as a temporary replacement living on borrowed time. Befriending the strange girl with no name, Yuji names her Shana as he devotes himself to her battle against the Crimson Denizens.
