Synopsis
Naofumi Iwatani is an uncharismatic otaku who spends most of his days on games and reading manga. He suddenly finds himself and three others summoned to the kingdom of Melromarc to become its saviors. Melromarc is a country that has been plagued by the Waves of Catastrophe that have been repeatedly ravaging the land and brought nothing but disaster to its citizens for centuries. The four heroes are bestowed a sword, spear, bowa nd shield to vanquish the monsters that come from the Waves. Naofumi becomes cursed from the start by being the "Shield Hero". Armed with only a shield, he was belittled adn ridiculed by his fellow heroes and the kingdom's people due to the fact that he has no offensive capabilities.
