As a result of the internet black out many congressmen are rethinking SOPA and PIPA. Both of these bills have been designed to enforce censorship of foreign sites along with penalizing sites for their user's actions. In general a site like YouTube would be held accountable each time someone uploads copyrighted material. The same goes for blogs, wiki sites, and yes online databases such as OtakuElite Online. 

We hold strong in the belief of supporting the original creators by not posting copyrighted materials to site without permission. However, we also support fan creativity and freedom of speech. Fanfiction and fanart are both mediums of expressing fan's love and fills the void left by creators who leave fans wanting more. For a manga or anime series to have fanfiction and fanart should be a honor and not something to be shunned for the sole purpose of greed.
