Synopsis: Saya Otonashi has lost all of her memories a year ago and is being raised by her adoptive father, an old Vietnam vet. Saya is attacked one night by a monster known as a Chiropteran-a vampire like creature that lives off the blood of humans with supernatural abilities and extraordinary strength. She meets up with a strange man named Haji who somehow is connected to her past and gives her a sword capable of defeating the Chiropteran along with her blood.

After the devastating encounter Saya is picked up by her adoptive father’s friend David who takes Saya in as part of “Red Shield,” an organization dedicated to the destruction of these monsters. Now it is up to Saya to protect mankind against these beings.
