Section 1 - User & Owner Rights & Responsibilities
In accordance of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, OtakuElite is not directly responsible for content submitted by its users. Users are responsible for any content they submitted to the site. Owners of copyrighted material may request remove of their content by following the instructions under the DMCA policy.

Users may request to remove other content that may be considered as libel by contacting us using the link on the privacy policy page. All requests may or may not be approved based on a case by case basis.

Users may not submit content that includes any form of pornography, hate speech, violence, profanity, abuse, malicious statements, threats, predatory attempts, stalking, encouragement of violence or self abuse, libel, advertising, flooding, or any other content that OtakuElite finds is not suitable.

Users are responsible to keep up to date with any changes made to the site's policies. These changes can be viewed on the site update page.

Section 2 - Privacy Policy
By creating a new account the user agrees that they have read the privacy policy before creating their new account. It is the duty of the user to remain up to date on any changes made. OtakuElite will notify all users of changes through the site updates page.

Section 3 - Rights of OtakuElite
OtakuElite holds the right to alter any content submitted to the site to provide greater accuracy of information and to confirm to other parts of the terms of service. OtakuElite also holds the right to block, ban, or remove user accounts without their permission, and as well as changing the terms of service.

Section 4 - Legal Disclaimer
OTAKUELITE IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ITS USERS. OtakuElite is not responsible for any system crashes or end user technical issues. This site is submitted as is, and we are not held responsible for damages that occur from the actions of our users. By using this site you accept these risks.

Privacy Policy
OtakuElite's Privacy Policy described below describes how personal information is treated throughout the site and what information is or may be shared with other organizations or affiliates, as well as who those affiliates may be. For information regarding copyright issues please view the DMCA policy.

Site Navigation
Information may be tracked regarding user navigation throughout the site. This information may be used for marketing purposes in order to maximize user satisfaction throughout the site. As well tallies related to specific pages may be shared with other organizations for other marketing purposes. All information will be privatized, masked, before sharing it with any other organizations.

User Contributions
All contributions made by users are considered to be that specific user's property. OtakuElite does not make any attempt on hiding user contribution information. It is the duty of the user to keep any personal information kept confidential once it has been submitted to the site. OtakuElite is not responsible for any content once it has been submitted to the site, and holds no guarantee that information will be removed once it has been submitted. Data Mining
One of OtakuElite's main sources of revenue in the future will be through data mining. This means gathering statistical data based on various resources throughout the site that may be sold to other organizations. All information gathered is kept confidential and a specific's user's information will never be given to any organization outside of OtakuElite unless otherwise specified as noted in the following section(s).

Shared Information
All information shared will be categorized by demographics only. An example of such information would be which age groups enjoy action genre series. Another example would be, from the dates of 20xx to 20xx how many users have visited the information page for this title. The purpose of this shared information is meant to give valuable marketing data to various organizations to help better market their products and services. Information will never be given out for any heinous or malicious purposes.

Passwords
OtakuElite will NEVER ask for your username and password! If you are ever asked to provide this information it is vital that you contact a site administrator as soon as possible so this problem can be resolved in order to protect other users.

Exceptions
Private information may, and may ONLY, be shared when required to by the court of law SPECIFICALLY against that person. This means that under no circumstances will OtakuElite ever provide a method for others to search through private user information for the purposes of tracking down suspicious users. All information gathered is considered personal and confidential and every reasonable attempt to keep this information safe is made.

DMCA Policy
Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, in part, provides a safe harbor for an internet service provider against illegal user submitted content. OtakuElite takes copyright infringement seriously and will always attempt to remove such content from its pages whenever reasonably possible.

Title II of the DMCA
In accordance to Title II of the DMCA, OtakuElite holds no initial liability for any user submitted content. OtakuElite is responsible, as explained under the DMCA, to remove such content upon request of the original, and legal, owner of the content in question. The following section outlines the steps required to have such content removed from the site.

Removal of Content
OtakuElite will ONLY remove content if requested by the LEGAL OWNER. OtakuElite requires the following information before a claim to remove content is considered:
  • Written proof of ownership of the content in question.
  • A direct link to the content in question.
  • A written description of why the questioned content should be removed.
  • Complete contact information to a legal representative.
  • (Encouraged) Replacement content approved by legal owner.
All of the information above must be submitted to the email listed at the bottom of the page. OtakuElite will make every reasonable effort to remove illegal content from its pages within due time. This process may take several weeks, or months, depending on the request(s).
