Synopsis
At a young age Chihaya had no goals in life other than to live in the shadow of her sister, an upcoming model and idol. After being introduced to karuta, a competitive card game based on Japanese poetry, by her classmate Arata she becomes enthralled by his passion and wants to become as good as him and to eventually become the top player in the world. Years have passed as Chihaya and Arata have gone their separate ways. Chihaya continues to dedicated her life to karuta and creates a high school club along with her childhood friend and karuta partner Taichi. Along with her club Chihaya wants to reach nationals in hopes of playing against Arata again.
