Synopsis
Evangelion Unit-05 is self destructed by Mari Illustrious Makinami as a last resort to destroy the Third Angel’s core. Ryoji Kaji evacuates during the battle and heads off towards Japan along with Unit-02 and Captain Asuka Langley Shikinami (Soryu). Kaji returns to NERV as the Chief Inspector to meet up with Gendo while running into Misato whom which he was romantically involved with in the past. Asuka, the second child, along Shinji and Rei must continue on with their battle against the angles while dealing with their own personal issues while Mari continues onward with her own agenda.
