Synopsis
Souma Yukihira is a fifteen year old boy who has dreamed ever since he was a child that he would someday own his family's restaurant as its head chef. To help him in his dream he has worked for his father as the sous chef. Throughout the years, Souma developed a passion for entertaining his customers with his creative and almost mesmerizing, yet creative and skilled culinary creations. Although Souma's heart nearly stopped beating when his father announced that he would be closing the restaurant for three years to test his skills in restaurants all over the world. He looked at Souma and basically says that this is not a set back but a chance to really learn what the world has to offer. That being said he also enrolls Souma into the Tootsuki CUlinary Academy, an elite cooking school where only 10 percent of the students graduate.
