Synopsis
After surviving a life threatening injury as a child Shiki Tohno has been able to see "death lines" which will break apart when someone dies. As a result of abilities Shiki is given away to a relative to be raised. However, when his father passes away his sister, who has become the head of the household, has called him back to live with her. The same day he returns home he runs into a woman named Arcueid Brunstud who he kills in a fit of insanity. However, the girl he believes he has killed has suddenly appeared before him alive and well asking Shiki to become her bodyguard leading to memories in which Shiki has forgotten to suddenly begin to unravel.
