Synopsis
The job of the Saenome is to seal spirits that control things and endanger civilization. These spirits, known as tsukumogami, are often non-violent, and saenome usually seal them after a straightforward conversational exchange. Hyouma Kunato, traumatized by a prior fatal experience with an evil spirit, refuses to deal with tsukumogami by peaceful means and engages them in combat whenever they come into contact with him. In order to avoid being excommunicated, Hyouma's grandfather, Zouhei, suggests that he move in with Botan Nagatsuki, a young woman whose family includes six tsukumogami, in order to change his conduct. Hyouma unwillingly agrees to Zouhei's suggestion because he's determined to find the spirit that stole everything from him. The young guy must win Botan's trust and put aside his anger for her unusual family as unidentified groups of evil spirits start to threaten the harmony between worlds.
