Synopsis
There was no worse situation for Mitsuha Yamano. She finds herself falling off a cliff due to a flimsy guardrail after being rejected from her dream university and losing her entire family in an accident. Mitsuha's steadfast refusal to die enables her to be sent to another universe, where she ends up living, using what appears to be the last of her luck. After days of aimless wandering in this strange place, Mitsuha finally collapses from weariness and is saved by a little girl named Colette. Soon after, she encounters yet another life-threatening circumstance, but this time, her unbreakable spirit triumphs, allowing her to meet with a divine cosmic being. The creature tells Mitsuha that she has superhuman regeneration in addition to the free will power to travel between worlds. Mitsuha considers how to make the most of her newfound strength after learning this new information. She decides to save up 80,000 gold coins in order to be able to retire comfortably.
