Synopsis
Sakuragi Hanamichi has always been getting into fights in junior high and has a bad reputation with girls. Hanamichi has just been rejected for the 50th time, this time for a basketball player. When entering high school he meets the dream girl of his life, Haruko Akagi, who is also the sister of Takenori Akagi who is the team captain for Hanamichi’s high school’s basketball team. Haruko is the only girl who isn’t afraid of Hanamichi’s delinquent ways and introduces him to the basketball team. Hanamichi has no idea how to play basketball and despite his brute strength he isn’t very athletic. Regardless Hanamichi proves to have a natural talent for basketball and he decides to join in order to impress Haruko. The only problem is despite his talents he still remains immature and hot headed leaving him with much to learn.
