Synopsis
One day when Hitomi is training with her high school crush, the head of the track-team, she meets Van Fanel, a boy who has traveled to her world using magic to defeat a dragon. Hitomi is transported back to Van's world with him who is unable to send her back. Hitomi discovers that Van is soon to become king, but soon after being crowned his kingdom is attacked and Van must enter a blood pack with Escaflowne to defeat the Guymelef attacking the kingdom. At the same time Hitomi is discovering that she may have powers of her own.
