Konnichiwa minna-san! (It's about time I had a blog as well, ne?)
Your fellow Otaku here with an inside scoop for you! It's all very hush hush (not really *wink*) but I decided to spill a few beans in your favor. I'm sure you've noticed all of the brand-spankin-new
updates to the site! Spiffy, huh? But as usual, our ~Webmaster has a few more tricks up the old sleeve and I'm here to tell you about them!
We've been paying attention to your suggestions in the Forums and the outcry for a fun event can no longer be ignored! ~Webmaster and I have some interesting ideas that you're sure to
love.
I was able to persuade ~Webmaster to allow the commencement of a long awaited contest! With his approval I am proud to announce
ARTaku!
ARTaku will be an Art Contest to determine
possible art for a new site-wide advertisement! In keeping with ~Webmaster's vision of the professional quality of OtakuElite, we will be looking for serious, unique, and quality entries that are appropriate for
all ages.
In the coming weeks you will be receiving more details about ARTaku including possible dates, how the contest will be judged, deadlines for submissions, and most likely some legal stuff
that we won't focus on right this minute.
So dust off your crayon boxes! Sharpen your pencils!
Lick your erasers! ...On second thought don't do that last bit...
And get ready for some fun!
For those of you who aren't artistically inclined (there's no shame in drawing stick figures! T_T) and won't be submitting entries of your own, you can still participate in ARTaku by voting
for your favorite entries.
Oh and as if that weren't enough, I'm also going to drop another tidbit of info for ya that's SUPER TOP SECRET: *whisper*
the end of ARTaku will kick off another HUGE event that is already in the works as we speak *end whisper*
