So the Trouble Begins
I can't say how good it feels to take another read at this series. Well I'll get the point then. The first chapter of the Manga is the longest as it takes time to introduce the main set of characters. Well the first character we are introduced to is "Rito"
the main male character in this series. We quickly learn he has problems thinking of girls let alone talk to them. This proves troublesome as he can't confess his love to his long time crush "Haruna". Haruna seems to be a smart girl that trys to think things
through. Well she has a lot of thinking to do when an alien named "Lala" appears into their lives. And by appear I mean teleport in Rito's tub because of her invention. The trouble starts as mis-understanding occurs while Rito tried to confess to Haruna only
to have it back fire causing Rito and Lala to be engaged.
These chapters seem to give us a basic idea of what is occurring. You will quickly learn that Lala is not just an alien but a princess who's father is Emperor of the Universe. And like all fathers they don't just let go of their daughters without a fight.
He accepts Lala being engaged to Rito as long as he can protect her from other suitors. The funny thing is that Rito is trying to get Lala off his back but he only falls into deeper trouble. You know how fathers threaten the boy with a shotgun well Lala's
father goes all out and if Rito fails he will obliterate the planet... how splendid.
So besides Rito falling into a web of misunderstandings and trouble we see some interactions and relationships occur between the characters as well. Such as friendships and new understandings. But before these chapters end we see a suitor come to take
Lala. This does presents a challenge for Rito as you will see. As far as relationships at this point Rito seeks to remove Lala from his life but also became closer to his crush Haruna.
