I was wondering, what do you want to be?

I'm personally a very passionate person who stresses hard work to achieve my goals. It took me a little while, but I am finally going after my dream to become a successful writer/PR specialist! I mainly want blog and one day be an editor for some magazine.

I always love to hear about what others are striving for. So what's your passion?

My dream would be to work on this site full time! Love building things from the ground up out of nothing. The most important thing is to keep trying no matter how many times you get knocked down. After all it wouldn't be a dream if you didn't have to work for it.

My dream is to be supreme overlord and master to you all 

As a child I dreamt of becoming an author but not many people read fantasy novels anymore compared to the old days. Overtime, I too stop reading as many novels; instead I pick up graphic novels (manga) to read, watch anime, and play video games in my free time.  My dream hasn't changed as a child. I still want to forge many worlds  filled with splendors and wonders that make an everlasting impact on an individual with the feelings of enjoyment and astonishment. I want to complete this dream of mine though video games or animation but I still have lingering feelings of desire to create some of the worlds though writing.

Huu. Eventually working for the CDC maybe.

Cancer research. Pathogen Analyst. DNA forensics technician. Something like that.

A job where I can freely rock a pocket protector and still be the coolest guy in the building.

Well I plan to get a job in the biology field. Probably work in a lab. Would be nice if I could mess with some genes though. My dream job would be a "Mad Scientist" but we know this won't happen.... *sigh*

Lol, wow I made this thread a while ago. If I didn't want to work in communications, I'd probably want to work in alternative healing/medicine. Either way, I may not gain as much money as I'd always dreamed of growing up. I seriously think it depends on the industry, but I don't think any editor outside of fashion makes as much as any fashion editor, from the research I've done... and that sucks! I'm not really worried about it though, but I do want to muster up the courage to email one or two in the anime/manga industry and ask them how much they make, lol. I really want to know.

 I don't think anyone makes  as money in the future as they planned salts. And to work in the anime/manga industry is oblivion. I learned about the jobs they do and I will say it has a lot of stress in it no matter the position your in.

Yeah, stress comes with every career! ✖‿✖ Unfortunately, but it is worth it, I guess, if you're doing what you love.

 I guess. I have seen some Anime and read a Manga that shows how it is though.

Really? What are they? Actually, I just finished reading a manga yesterday about this young guy, my age even, in the late 60's trying to be a manga artists. Eventually he makes it, but it's based off of the experiences the mangaka had as an emerging manga artist! 

 Hmm. There's always a chance to break into the scene at a later point in life as well. I mean, there's a ton of writers who take that route. And if you're confident in your drawing ability you could always polish it as a hobby. And if you're not, then you could always hire someone. Point of working is to pay for the things you love. Point of a career is to do what you love. So you could always mix the two.

 Hmm yes that makes sense to do. I wanted to be a zoologist before but went against since the job is un-stable. Then I decided to move into a field of biology.

 I see what you did there.... one problem I have a tendency to want to experiment so I may use some of them if I go crazy! I have to many evil ideas.......
